The Aryavarth Express Pune, Maharashtra: The health condition of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar is stable and he is recovering well, hospital authorities said on Monday.
Dr Purvez Grant, Chief Cardiologist, Chairman and Managing Trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic, informed the media that Pawar is “doing very well” and is expected to be discharged within the next 48 hours.
“Mr Sharad Pawar is absolutely stable. There are no complications and he is progressing extremely well. All his medical reports are normal. There is nothing to worry about. He will be going home in the next two days,” Dr Grant said.
The 85-year-old leader was admitted to the private hospital after experiencing mild dehydration. Doctors confirmed that his condition has since improved significantly.
Earlier this month, Sharad Pawar was admitted to the same Pune hospital on February 9 and discharged on February 14 after receiving treatment for chest congestion and breathing difficulties. At the time, the hospital had advised him to take adequate rest before gradually resuming his routine work and public engagements.
