The Aryavarth Express Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 23:
Days after unveiling the teaser of his upcoming action-war drama Battle of Galwan, actor Salman Khan has shared a glimpse of the film’s first song, titled Maatrubhumi. The song is set to be released on January 24, ahead of Republic Day.
Salman took to Instagram on Friday to share the 15-second teaser of the patriotic track. The video opens with the sound of a military bugle and visuals of the Indian flag standing tall, followed by evocative scenes highlighting the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of Indian soldiers.
The full song, Maatrubhumi, is composed by Himesh Reshammiya, with lyrics penned by Sameer Anjaan. The track is sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, with the music and vocals aiming to stir strong patriotic emotions.
The teaser of Battle of Galwan, released in December last year, offered the first glimpse of Salman Khan in the role of an Indian Army officer. Featuring a restrained and intense performance, the visuals showcased rugged terrain, extreme weather conditions, and close-combat sequences, reflecting the harsh realities faced by soldiers stationed at high altitudes.
The film is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops, in which 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives. The incident led to heightened tensions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, prompting increased military deployment and surveillance activities in the region.
Actor Chitrangda Singh stars opposite Salman Khan in the film. Battle of Galwan is scheduled for release on April 17
