The Aryavarth Express:
Mumbai, April 2: Actor Ranbir Kapoor was spotted in Mumbai with filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra, just a day before the release of the much-anticipated first glimpse of their upcoming film Ramayana.
The trio was seen in Bandra, with Ranbir keeping it casual in a denim jacket, white T-shirt, and track pants—hinting at the start of promotional activities for the film following his return from Los Angeles.
Earlier this week, Ranbir attended a special event in Los Angeles with the film’s team, where a key asset from the project was unveiled. Speaking at the event, the actor shared his thoughts on portraying Lord Ram, calling the character a symbol of moral strength and virtue.
“Lord Ram has been the conscience keeper of billions for centuries. He represents compassion, courage, righteousness, and forgiveness, and is known as Maryada Purushottam, the ideal man,” Ranbir said.
The upcoming glimpse, titled Rama, is expected to showcase Ranbir’s look as Lord Ram. It will be released in India on April 2, coinciding with Hanuman Jayanti.
The film boasts a star-studded cast, with Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is being produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with the Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.

The ambitious two-part epic is slated for a global IMAX release, with Part 1 arriving in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 scheduled for Diwali 2027, making it one of the most anticipated film projects in Indian cinema.
