Ayodhya: The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi temple in Ayodhya has been beautifully illuminated with vibrant decorative lights in preparation for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Darbar, which is set to commence at 6:30 AM today and will continue until June 5.
As part of the spiritual festivities, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to participate in the Saryu Jayanti Janmotsav celebrations on June 5. The event is being organised by the Anjaneya Sewa Trust and will run until June 11, featuring a series of devotional programs, rituals, and spiritual discourses.
Speaking about the event, Mahant Rajkumar Das Maharaj, head of Shriramvallabhkunj, said, “Anjaneya Sewa Trust celebrates Saryu Jayanti Janmotsav every year. This year’s event will begin on June 5. CM Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the celebration by lighting a ceremonial lamp. In the evening, a ‘Katha’ session will also be held. On the full moon day, June 11, a special Aarti will mark the conclusion of the week-long celebration.”
The Ram Darbar Pran Pratishtha ceremony, taking place on June 5, is expected to be a significant highlight, with CM Yogi Adityanath in attendance.
Mahant Shashikant Das, President of Anjaneya Sewa Samiti, encouraged public participation. “The presence of the Chief Minister is an honour for us. We invite everyone to join. Ayodhya is undergoing transformative development under his leadership, and important announcements may also be made during the event,” he said.
In a related development, Ayodhya authorities have started taking action to enforce bans on the sale of meat and liquor along key religious routes, including Ram Path and Dharma 14 Kosi Marg. This follows public complaints raised during CM Yogi Adityanath’s Janata Darbar.
Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi confirmed that plans are underway to implement a complete ban on meat and liquor sales in these areas. “The sale of meat on Ram Path has long been under scrutiny. We are now moving ahead to enforce a ban, and similar steps will soon follow for liquor,” he said.
