Agency (Jharkhand): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a public rally in Koderma, Jharkhand, on Tuesday, vowed to take stringent measures against those involved in corruption. He asserted that his government, if re-elected for a third term, would not let the ‘looters’ of public wealth have a peaceful sleep and would ensure that their ill-gotten gains are seized.

Modi’s stern message was directed at the corruption allegedly rampant under the INDIA alliance government in Jharkhand. Highlighting a recent case, he mentioned the recovery of Rs 35 crores during ED raids from the servant of the personal secretary of Jharkhand Congress minister Alamgir Alam.

“I will not let the thieves sleep peacefully. I will take away their sleep and also empty their coffers. You are the owner of this money. No one can steal or loot it. Our government is taking strict action against them,” Modi declared to the cheering crowd. He added that his political rivals are upset with him due to his zero-tolerance policy on corruption.

Criticizing the ‘Shahi Parivaar,’ Modi blamed them for allowing criminals and ruffians to exploit the state for personal gain. He reiterated his commitment to fighting corruption, nepotism, and appeasement, which he claimed were hallmarks of the INDIA alliance of JMM-Congress-Left.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi had filed his nomination for the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh. At the Jharkhand rally, he highlighted his government’s milestones and welfare policies, emphasizing their benefits to the public.

“Rs 5 lakh free medical treatment is our guarantee for all. Our government has built 4 crore houses for the poor and marginalized. After returning to power, we will ensure that others also get this benefit. In Koderma alone, 1.25 lakh pucca houses have been built,” he informed, drawing applause from the audience.

Modi promised that in the third term, free ration for 80 crore people would continue for another five years, and farmers would continue receiving benefits under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. He criticized the current state government for not adequately benefiting the locals despite Jharkhand being rich in mining resources. Modi pointed out that his government’s policy has ensured Jharkhand received Rs 12,000 crore from mining earnings.

The Prime Minister also addressed the Opposition’s stance on issues like the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and recent controversial statements by a Samajwadi Party leader. Modi asserted that the Ram Temple, after 500 years, has finally found its rightful place, a move opposed by some in the Congress.

“Some are saying that Congress wants to revoke the Supreme Court’s order on Ram Mandir while some claim that it wants to send Ram Lalla back in the tent. Will you allow it to happen?” he asked, receiving a resounding “No” from the crowd.

Modi concluded by urging the people to teach the JMM-Congress regime a lesson for neglecting their needs and problems.
