Agency (New Delhi): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a rally in Dwarka on Wednesday, accused the INDIA bloc of being extremely “communal, casteist, and nepotistic.” He alleged that all parties aligned with the Congress are responsible for the anti-Sikh riots. Modi emphasized that the BJP’s development model prioritizes the nation, contrasting it with the Congress and INDIA alliance’s “family first” agenda.

Modi dismissed accusations of fostering communal divisions, instead accusing the Congress of engaging in “vote jihad” and appeasement politics. He claimed that the Congress-led government intends to divert wealth meant for SC/ST and downtrodden people to Muslims. “The BJP’s development model says, nation first. On the other hand, Congress and the INDI alliance’s only agenda is family first,” he stated.

Modi referenced the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, attributing the violence to the Congress. He claimed, “It was in this very Delhi that my Sikh brothers and sisters were burnt alive. Whose crime was this? Congress.” He highlighted the BJP’s efforts to deliver justice, including the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to reopen cases and punish Congress leaders involved.

The Prime Minister also criticized the Congress for using educational institutions for vote bank politics. He mentioned the 50 percent reservation for Muslims at Jamia Millia Islamia, implemented by the Congress in 2011, which restricted admissions for SC/ST/OBCs based on religion. Modi alleged that this approach deprived Dalits, backward classes, and tribals of their rightful opportunities.

Modi accused the Congress of tarnishing the 2010 Commonwealth Games by engaging in corruption, contrasting it with the global acclaim India received for hosting the G20 summit. He took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, referring to him as “shehzada,” and highlighted Gandhi’s acknowledgment of systemic discrimination against Dalits, backward classes, and tribals during the Congress rule.

The Prime Minister also targeted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing his administration of playing a “kattar bhrastachari” (extreme corruption) game. Modi warned of a thorough investigation into corrupt wealth if he returns for a third term, promising to recover money from scams such as the liquor scam and the National Herald scam.

Highlighting the BJP-led government’s achievements, Modi claimed that his administration built more medical colleges and highways in ten years than the Congress did in sixty years. He appealed for votes, stating that a strong government and prime minister are essential for a powerful Delhi.

Modi’s rally marked a fierce attack on the INDIA bloc, positioning the BJP as the party committed to national development and integrity while accusing the opposition of divisiveness and corruption.
