Modi Critiques Congress’ Election Strategy at Maharashtra Rally

Prime Minister Modi criticizes Congress for not contesting enough seats to form a majority, while highlighting his administration's achievements.

The Aryavarth Express
Agency (Maharashtra): During a rally in Malshiras, Solapur district, Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued to express his criticism towards opposition parties, particularly focusing on the Congress. He pointed out that the Congress is not even contesting the minimum number of seats required to achieve a majority in the Lok Sabha, questioning the rationale behind voting for them.

Modi’s remarks came as part of his ongoing critique of Sharad Pawar, whom he described indirectly as a “bhatakti atma” (wandering soul) and criticized for his performance as the Union agriculture minister. He accused Pawar of causing instability in Maharashtra, which he claimed has led to a history of short-termed chief ministers over the past 45 years.

The Prime Minister urged voters not to “waste” their votes on the Congress and other opposition parties, advocating instead for a strong government that can focus on current and future challenges. He contrasted the achievements of his government over the past decade with those of the Congress’s 60-year rule, claiming his administration has lifted 25 crore people out of poverty and provided 80 crore people with free rations.

This rally underscores Modi’s strategic emphasis on presenting his government as a preferable alternative to Congress, with a focus on stability, effective governance, and poverty reduction.
