Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad has strongly criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, predicting that he will not win in the next elections. The veteran politician also questioned the benefits the G20 summit brought to common people in India.

Lalu Prasad spoke to the media after visiting the famous Baba Baidyanath Dham temple in Jharkhand’s Deoghar district. He voiced concerns about the current state of the country, saying, “The situation in the country is not good. Inflation and unemployment are at their highest. People are hungry. Narendra Modi is tricking people again as elections are coming, but this time his exit is certain.”

Prasad also criticized the Prime Minister for the recent cut in the prices of cooking gas. Last month, the Centre announced a reduction of Rs 200 per cylinder for domestic cooking gas. Prasad said this move was to “deceive people before the elections.” He added, “It is not your (PM’s) money that you have reduced. It is the people’s money. The funds for ration or kerosene also come from the citizens’ money. Have you earned this?”

Moreover, the RJD leader alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants to “wipe out the name of Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar,” a key figure in Indian history. He also claimed that the BJP, which faced defeat in recent assembly elections, would be “wiped out in other assembly elections” as well.

The G20 summit, held in New Delhi on September 9-10, was also under Prasad’s scrutiny. He called the summit a “sham” and questioned what benefits it brought to common citizens. According to Prasad, a huge sum was spent to organize the summit in India, and it did not deliver clear advantages to the public.

On the topic of opposition parties, Lalu Prasad revealed that the first coordination meeting of the 28-party opposition bloc, called INDIA, would take place on September 13 in New Delhi. He added that a “consensus leader” for the bloc would be selected in due course.

As India gears up for its next elections, the remarks from Lalu Prasad highlight growing dissent and the questioning of the current government’s actions and motives. It remains to be seen how the BJP and Prime Minister Modi will respond to such allegations and whether the prediction of Modi’s defeat will come to pass.
