Congress Leader Ajoy Kumar Criticizes Modi’s Leadership

Ajoy Kumar, Congress's in-charge for Tamil Nadu, accuses PM Modi's government of failing on various fronts and ignoring China's transgressions.

Agency(Chennai): Congress leader Ajoy Kumar, in charge of the party’s affairs in Tamil Nadu, has sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. Speaking to ANI, Kumar highlighted the country’s struggle with rising hunger, anemia among women, lack of education for children, and soaring unemployment rates under the current government. He pointed out the escalating inflation and increasing prices of essential commodities, severely impacting the common man.

Kumar compared the current employment scenario with that during the Congress-led UPA regime, stating that while the UPA created 75 lakh jobs annually, the NDA government has managed less than 5 lakh jobs per year. He disputed the BJP’s claim of lifting 25 crore people out of poverty over ten years, arguing that the UPA had brought 27 crore people out of poverty during its tenure.

The Congress leader accused the Modi government of failing to address Chinese transgressions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). He claimed that while India had protected its borders from China in the past, the current administration is overlooking Chinese advancements on Indian territory.

Furthermore, Kumar alleged that India is not safe for marginalized communities and honest businesses under Modi’s leadership. He accused the central government of misusing investigation agencies like the ED and CBI to boost BJP’s funds, referring to them as ‘Modi’s goons.’ He claimed that companies raided by these agencies contributed Rs 375 crores to the BJP through electoral bonds immediately following the raids.

Kumar’s remarks reflect a strong critique of the Modi government’s policies and actions, particularly concerning national security, economic management, and the welfare of the country’s marginalized and business communities.
