New Delhi : In a post on X, the Prime Minister described Maa Kushmanda as a symbol of courage and spiritual strength, expressing hope that her blessings inspire “new consciousness in every heart.”
The fourth day of Chaitra Navratri is dedicated to Maa Kushmanda, one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga worshipped during the festival.
A day earlier, Modi had also paid tribute to Maa Chandraghanta, the third manifestation of the goddess, praying for strength, prosperity, and well-being for all.
Chaitra Navratri, which marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year, is observed with devotion across the country. Over nine days, devotees worship different forms of Goddess Durga, observe fasts, and participate in prayers and cultural events. The festival concludes with Ram Navami, celebrating the birth of Lord Rama.
