Review Overview

The Aryavarth Express New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday interacted with students during the second episode of the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, emphasising the importance of discipline, balanced use of technology, and holistic development. The first episode of the programme was held on February 6.

In the second episode, the Prime Minister Modi connected with students from several cities, including Devmogra, Coimbatore, Raipur, Guwahati and Delhi. Addressing the participants, PM Modi said that his interactions with students of Classes 10 and 12 over the years have been a learning experience for him.

“I have been interacting with students of Classes 10 and 12 for many years through Pariksha Pe Charcha. I engage in these conversations to learn, not to teach,” he said.

Responding to a question on how young people can contribute to the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047, the Prime Minister expressed happiness that students are already thinking about the country’s future. He urged them to adopt disciplined habits seen in developed nations, such as reducing food wastage, switching off vehicle engines at red lights, and practising responsible consumption.

“Discipline is very important in our life,” he said.

On the subject of technology, PM Modi cautioned students against becoming overly dependent on mobile phones and artificial intelligence. He stressed that technology should be used as a tool rather than becoming a controlling force in daily life.

“We should not make AI or mobile phones our master. Some children do not even eat food without looking at a smartphone. We should use technology efficiently and expand our potential through it. There is no need to be afraid of AI,” he said.

The Prime Minister Modi also highlighted that inspiration alone is not sufficient for success unless it is supported by discipline. Using an example from farming, he explained that timely action and consistency are essential to achieve results.

“Inspiration combined with discipline works like icing on the cake,” he said.

Emphasising the importance of education, PM Modi said it should not be neglected even when pursuing sports or other talents. He called for a balanced approach to life, encouraging students to both study and play.

“Never think that being good at sports means education is unnecessary. At the same time, education alone is not everything. Whatever talent you have, develop it. You must study as well as play to maintain balance in life,” he added.
