The tragic incident unfolded inside a hotel room located on Sankey Road in the heart of Bengaluru. The accused, employed as room boys at the hotel, have been identified by the authorities as Amrit and Robert.

Zarina DJeparova, visiting Bengaluru on a tourist visa, was discovered lifeless in her hotel room on the second floor by the establishment’s staff late Wednesday night. Concerns were raised after she failed to make an appearance for an extended period and did not respond to repeated phone calls, prompting the staff to enter the room with a master key. Upon entry, they were confronted with the grim scene of DJeparova’s body on the floor.

The investigation revealed that the suspects had accessed DJeparova’s room under the pretext of cleaning it on Wednesday afternoon. It was during this time that they noticed she was in possession of a significant amount of cash and an expensive mobile phone. Motivated by greed, they proceeded to smother her with a pillow, subsequently fleeing the scene with the stolen cash and phone.

The swift action of the Bengaluru police has led to the capture of the two men, who have since been taken into custody. The police are conducting further interrogations to uncover additional details surrounding the circumstances of this tragic event. A formal murder case has been registered by the Seshadripuram police, marking a critical step towards achieving justice for Zarina DJeparova and her grieving family.
