Agency (New Delhi): A tragic incident unfolded at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi, where a 21-year-old woman allegedly took her own life. The young woman, a second-year BSc nursing student, was found by hostel staff hanging from the ceiling fan in her room on Tuesday around 11:30 am.
The police, upon being alerted, recovered a suicide note from her room. In the note, the deceased explained that she was struggling with depression linked to her rigorous academic schedule and the pressures of preparing for the Bihar Public Service Commission exam.
The woman’s family, residing in Bihar, has been notified of the devastating news, and they are currently dealing with the loss. Police have initiated further investigations to understand the full context of the situation and to assess any underlying factors that led to this unfortunate event.
