Agency(Karnataka): In a heart-wrenching incident in Karnataka’s Mandya district, a teenage boy lost his life when the car he was a passenger in plunged into a canal. The tragic accident occurred on Tuesday, claiming the life of 19-year-old Nandish, a native of Doddabyadarahalli village.
The police reported that the vehicle veered off a bridge and descended into the canal near Avverahalli village in Mandya taluk. The impact was severe, leading to the instantaneous death of one occupant, while another sustained serious injuries. Authorities have since transported the injured survivor to a local hospital for urgent medical care, and the body of the deceased teenager has been moved to the Mortuary at Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences for further procedures.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic event is currently underway, as officials strive to ascertain the precise cause of the accident.
This incident adds to a day of sorrow in the region, as another devastating event occurred in Madhya Pradesh’s Raisen district, where a truck collided with a wedding procession. This separate accident resulted in six fatalities and injuries to ten individuals, further emphasizing the urgent need for heightened road safety measures and awareness.
