PM Modi Warns of Ram Temple Demolition by Congress

Prime Minister Modi claims Congress will demolish Ram temple if the INDIA bloc gains power.

The Aryavarth Express
Agency (New Delhi): Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged on Friday that if the Congress-led INDIA bloc comes to power, they will bulldoze the Ram temple. Addressing an election rally in Uttar Pradesh, Modi stated that the Congress plans to challenge the Supreme Court’s decision on the Ram temple and ultimately demolish it.

“If the SP-Congress comes to power, it will send Ram Lalla back to a tent, and a bulldozer will be rolled over the temple,” Modi declared.

He also accused the Congress of being responsible for the Partition, asserting that the party orchestrated the division of the country. “When the freedom struggle was going on and talks of dividing the country arose, every person wondered if it could happen. Did it happen or not? They did it or not? They can go to any extent. Their track record is such,” Modi said.

According to Modi, the Congress prioritizes family and power over the country’s well-being. “The country does not matter to them. For them, the game is for family and power,” he added.

Modi was in Barabanki to rally support for BJP candidate Rajrani Rawat, who is contesting from the Lok Sabha seat. He thanked the voters for their previous support, attributing the end of the “500-year-long” wait for the Ram Mandir to their votes.

“People from Barabanki walked to Ayodhya with bricks inscribed with ‘Ram.’ The younger generation and first-time voters cannot understand the 500 years of wait. Generations of our ancestors struggled and sacrificed,” he said.

Modi accused the Congress of sending Ram Lalla to a “tent” during their regime and refusing to attend the temple’s consecration ceremony, which was invited along with the Samajwadi Party. “There is so much poison in their belly… don’t know what enmity they have with Ram,” Modi remarked.

Barabanki has 13 candidates competing, with the main contest between Congress’s Tanuj Punia and BJP’s Rajrani Rawat. Tanuj Punia is the son of Congress leader PL Punia, a former MP from Barabanki (SC) Lok Sabha seat.

In March, BJP MP Upendra Singh Rawat, who was fielded again by the party, decided not to contest any elections until proven innocent following an explicit video allegedly involving him surfaced online. Subsequently, Rajrani Rawat was given the ticket.

Barabanki will vote in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 20.
