Agency(New Delhi): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at an election rally, leveled serious accusations against the Congress Party, claiming they had historically attempted to hinder the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and had insulted Lord Ram by declining an invitation to the temple’s consecration ceremony, known as ‘pran pratishta’.

Modi criticized Congress for their alleged consistent efforts to block the temple’s construction. He highlighted the national effort that contributed to the temple, saying, “When the people of the country created such a beautiful temple with every small contribution, and when the temple’s people forgave all your sins and invited you for the ‘pran prathistaa’, you insulted Lord Ram by rejecting the invitation and even expelled leaders who attended.”

The Prime Minister also invoked the memory of Kalyan Singh, a key figure in the Ram temple movement and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister during the 1992 Babri Mosque demolition, praising his dedication to the cause.

Continuing his critique, Modi accused the Congress of deep-seated appeasement politics, suggesting that their current manifesto resembled that of the Muslim League more than that of the traditional Congress platform. He contrasted this with his administration’s efforts towards making India a developed nation, citing India’s proactive stance during the global crises like the COVID pandemic and its leadership in economic and scientific arenas, including space missions and the G20 summit.

Modi’s speech underscored his narrative of a resilient and self-reliant India, poised to overcome global challenges and internal political disputes to achieve its developmental goals.
