Agency(New Delhi): Danish Ali, the Lok Sabha MP recently suspended from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), has engaged in talks with the Congress party, following a meeting with former Congress president Sonia Gandhi at her 10 Janpath residence. This development hints at Ali’s anticipated candidacy from the Amroha constituency on a Congress ticket in the forthcoming elections.

Ali’s encounter with Gandhi, during which he sought the veteran leader’s blessings, underscores a significant political shift and the likelihood of his alignment with the Congress for his re-election bid from Amroha. Expressing his respect and admiration for Gandhi on social media, Ali highlighted her contributions to India’s legislative framework, particularly her role in the National Advisory Council (NAC) that introduced pivotal pro-poor and transparency legislations.

The potential fielding of Ali by the Congress from Amroha comes after intricate seat-sharing discussions with the Samajwadi Party, indicating strategic electoral alliances shaping up in the state. Ali’s active participation in Rahul Gandhi’s Nyay Yatra, from its inception in Manipur to its passage through Amroha, reflects his engagement with Congress-led initiatives and his commitment to the party’s vision of unity and justice.

This political development marks a crucial phase in Ali’s career, suggesting his readiness to contribute to the Congress’s electoral efforts and public policy objectives.
