Atishi Predicts Kejriwal’s Arrest Threat

AAP's Atishi claims Arvind Kejriwal faces imminent arrest if AAP enters a seat-sharing pact with Congress for the Lok Sabha elections.

The Aryavarth Express
Agency(New Delhi): Atishi, a leader from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), made a striking claim on Thursday, suggesting that Arvind Kejriwal, the party’s national convener and the Chief Minister of Delhi, could face arrest within the next three to four days. This potential arrest, according to Atishi, hinges on AAP’s decision to enter into a seat-sharing agreement with the Congress for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

During a press conference, Atishi revealed that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) might issue a notice to Kejriwal as early as the coming weekend. She pointed to the ongoing discussions about a possible alliance between AAP and Congress, indicating that these talks have reached an advanced stage. Atishi suggested that there has been a buzz since Wednesday evening among AAP leaders about the possibility of Kejriwal’s arrest in connection with this alliance.

Further, Atishi mentioned that sources had conveyed messages indicating the issuance of a notice to the Chief Minister by the CBI, which could potentially lead to his arrest. She highlighted that these messages also suggested that the only way to prevent Kejriwal’s incarceration would be for AAP to withdraw from the opposition coalition named INDIA.

She also noted that the alliance between AAP and Congress in Delhi is nearing finalization, with leaders from both parties expected to make an official announcement soon, possibly within the next couple of days.
