Amit Shah says “Congress Dhundo Yatra” after June 4

Shah claims Congress will be reduced to less than 40 seats, mocks Rahul Gandhi.

The Aryavarth Express
Agency (New Delhi): Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted on Monday that after June 4, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will have to launch a “Congress Dhundo Yatra” as the Congress party will struggle to secure even 40 seats in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking at a rally in Hisar, Haryana, Shah continued his attack on the Congress after addressing another rally in Karnal. He campaigned for BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate, Ranjit Singh Chautala, and stated that the BJP, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, has already crossed the majority mark with over 270 seats after four phases of polling. He confidently predicted that the BJP’s tally will exceed 400 seats after the remaining phases.

“Shehzadon, damadon-wali Congress will not even get 40 seats,” Shah declared. Referring to Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Yatra,” he quipped, “After June 4, Rahul baba will have to take out the ‘Congress Dhundo Yatra.’ The Congress will not be seen even with binoculars.”

Shah accused the Congress of corruption and contrasted it with Modi’s clean governance. He stated, “On one hand, there is Congress, during whose rule scams worth Rs 12 lakh crore took place. On the other hand, there is Modi, who has served without any corruption allegations even involving ’25 paise’.”

He criticized Rahul Gandhi for his alleged frequent vacations, saying, “Gandhi heads to Thailand and Bangkok when temperatures rise in India. The results will be declared on June 4, and Rahul baba will head for a vacation on June 6.”

Shah also took aim at the previous Congress-led government’s handling of national security, claiming that terrorists from Pakistan used to enter India daily during Manmohan Singh’s tenure without any response. He praised the Modi government for conducting surgical and airstrikes in retaliation to the Uri and Pulwama terror attacks.

Shah accused the Congress of spreading lies about the BJP’s intentions regarding reservations, emphasizing that the BJP would end “unconstitutional reservation” for Muslims if they win 400 seats. He claimed that Rahul Gandhi has stated the INDIA bloc will reinstate instant “triple talaq” if they come to power.

Highlighting the Modi government’s achievements, Shah asserted that they have eradicated terrorism and Naxalism in India. He lauded Haryana for its contributions to the nation in agriculture, defense, and sports, and criticized the Congress for scams in these sectors. Shah mentioned that the Modi government has procured foodgrains worth Rs 20 lakh crore at the minimum support price (MSP), the highest since independence.

He countered the opposition’s claims of no development in Haryana, noting its status as one of the fastest-growing states with 8% economic growth and top rankings in GST collection per capita and ease of doing business. He also highlighted that every second car in India is manufactured in Haryana.

Shah criticized former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, accusing him of favoritism and being a “darbari of damad” (servant of the son-in-law) referring to Robert Vadra. He stated, “The Congress’s hand is with Delhi’s son-in-law, but during its rule, the people remained empty-handed.”

He praised the current BJP-led government in Haryana for equitable development and mentioned that former Chief Minister M L Khattar, who was replaced by Nayab Singh Saini in March, will continue to serve the nation and the party in Delhi.
