Agency(New Delhi): Union Home Minister Amit Shah has launched a severe critique against the Congress, accusing it of creating a north-south divide in India. During an election rally in Gaya, which is part of the Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency, Shah criticized the opposition INDIA bloc’s tactics and highlighted the BJP’s commitment to national unity.
Shah claimed that the Congress, supported by the RJD, is engaged in appeasement politics, particularly evident in their opposition to the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that such actions show their disregard for national integration, contrasting this with the BJP’s efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to strengthen national sovereignty and security, including military actions like surgical strikes in Pakistan.
Furthermore, Shah projected a strong outcome for the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, predicting over 400 seats for the NDA. He attributed this anticipated success to public rejection of divisive politics and support for developmental initiatives led by the BJP. According to Shah, Modi’s continued leadership will position India as the world’s third-largest economy and eliminate threats like left-wing extremism and terrorism.
The Home Minister also accused the Congress and RJD of obstructing the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, a project that has since progressed under the Modi administration. He highlighted infrastructural developments in Bihar’s Aurangabad and Gaya districts as evidence of the NDA’s commitment to growth and stability in the region.
Shah’s speech emphasized the contrast between the BJP’s vision of a unified and progressive India and the opposition’s allegedly divisive and appeasement-based approach. He concluded by addressing various reforms and national issues, including the triple talaq ban and the awarding of the Bharat Ratna to former Bihar chief minister Karpoori Thakur, to illustrate the BJP’s broader commitment to cultural values and legal reforms.
