Allegations of Corruption Against Former Agarwal Community Officials in Karnataka Left Unchecked

Agency (Bengaluru): Allegations of embezzlement, involving millions of rupees
designated for community service during the 2021 COVID-19 first wave, continue to
haunt the former president, Sanjay Garg, former secretary Vijay Saraf, and former
treasurer Dinesh Jhuria of the Agarwal Samaj Karnataka. Despite the accusations of
misappropriating funds, no action has been taken against them.
Efforts by the current leadership to address the issue have been met with resistance,
allegedly due to pressure from influential former officials and senior members within
the community. This resistance has led to frustration among the current officials, with
Mahaveer Prasad Gupta, the president, resigning from his position. Several others
followed suit, but their resignations have yet to be accepted.
In a peculiar twist, the accused individuals are now accusing those demanding
accountability of destabilizing the society and threatening expulsion. This has caused
a leadership crisis within the community, with some officials and members reluctant
to hold the accused accountable, instead choosing to vilify those advocating for
justice.
Despite attempts to discuss the matter with society official Sanjay Kumar Tayal, he
staunchly defended Sanjay Garg and dismissed the allegations of corruption. He
even threatened expulsion for those pushing for action against the accused.
Meanwhile, rather than addressing the corruption issue, some individuals are
attempting to form a new Agarwal society in Bengaluru. However, dedicated
community members believe justice should prevail before moving forward.
Unaddressed Corruption Allegations Against Satish Jain in Agarsen Hospital
The corruption allegations within the Agarwal community have extended to Maharaja
Agarsen Hospital, where accusations against Satish Jain remain unresolved. Instead
of taking decisive action against him, the trusteeship was merely transferred to his
daughter, leaving many members disillusioned.
Some senior members are accused of manipulating and deceiving ordinary
members, further exacerbating the situation.
