With the ongoing counting of votes in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on June 4, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured victory in 17 seats and is leading in 227. Meanwhile, the Congress party has won four seats, including Jalandhar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Tura, and Gulbarga. The Janata Dal (Secular), Shiv Sena (UBT), and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have secured two, one, and one seat respectively.

In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading by a margin of over 1.5 lakh votes against Congress’s Ajay Rai in the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is leading in both the Wayanad constituency in Kerala and the Rae Bareli constituency in Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the political landscape in Uttar Pradesh witnesses a notable shift as Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party significantly reduces the ruling BJP’s dominance. As per the latest trends, the Samajwadi Party is leading in 33 seats, while the BJP is leading in 36 seats, marking a significant achievement for Yadav and his party.
