Singh, who recently emerged from jail, made these accusations at a press conference.

According to Singh, the BJP coerced Raghav Magunta—now an approver in the case—into falsifying his testimony against Kejriwal, who was detained on March 21 amid allegations of money laundering linked to the excise policy.

Singh outlined that the pressure began with actions taken against YSR Congress Party MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, father of Raghav, on September 16, 2022. Despite initial resistance, Raghav Reddy was arrested and, after extensive interrogation, changed his statement, implicating Kejriwal as part of a wider conspiracy.

“The BJP is behind the liquor scam, and its top leadership plotted to imprison Delhi’s chief minister,” Singh asserted, although responses from the BJP or the Reddys were not immediately forthcoming.

Singh praised Kejriwal’s integrity and dedication to enhancing Delhi’s educational and healthcare systems. “Kejriwal has lived a life of honesty and is committed to providing excellent education and healthcare services to the citizens of Delhi,” he stated.
