The Aryavarth Express New Delhi, March 27: Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Shambhavi Choudhary on Friday condemned the alleged objectionable remarks made by Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Yadunandan Lal about Lord Ram during a public meeting in Hardoi.
MP Shambhavi Choudhary criticised the opposition for what she called a lack of decorum, saying that insulting Lord Ram goes beyond political disagreement and disrespects the values of governance. She urged authorities to take action against those who repeatedly make such remarks.
“The opposition seems to have forgotten its decorum and culture. Insulting Lord Shri Ram is not a way to oppose our views; invoking Lord Shri Ram and Ram Rajya represents a commitment to governance, not mere ritual. Action should be taken against those who persistently insult in this manner,” Choudhary said.
The controversy arose after Lal allegedly made offensive comments about Lord Ram and Mother Kaushalya, including remarks regarding the birth of Lord Ram.
Union Minister SP Singh Baghel also condemned the remarks, calling them “very unfortunate” and accusing the SP of engaging in appeasement politics against Sanatan and Hindutva.
Meanwhile, SP MP Anand Bhadauriya clarified that Lal holds no official position within the party and distanced the party from his comments. “We condemn his statement. We follow the ideals of Lord Ram,” Bhadauriya said.
