Thindlu, Bengaluru: The Vijai Sambhav Foundation (VSF), in collaboration with Belenus Champion Hospital, and Aloka Vision organised a successful community service event at Thindlu Government School on Saturday, focussing on education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.

The event began with the distribution of eco-friendly study kits to all students. Each kit contained essentials like copies, pens, pencils, crayons, geometry boxes, erasers, cutters, and pencil boxes, aimed at supporting students’ educational needs while promoting an eco-friendly approach.

In partnership with Aloka Vision, VSF provided free eye check-ups for all students, staff, and parents. Those identified with vision issues were noted, and free prescription glasses will be distributed subsequently to those in need, ensuring access to essential eye care.

Additionally, Belenus Champion Hospital joined hands with VSF to offer comprehensive health check-ups, including blood sugar and blood pressure tests, and free doctor consultations. This initiative aimed to promote health awareness and preventive care within the community.

A notable highlight of the day was the collective pledge taken by all attendees to say “no” to plastic, reinforcing a commitment to a cleaner, greener environment. This pledge reflected VSF’s dedication not only to education and health but also to environmental sustainability. The event concluded with vibrant student performances and speeches by Principal Murali Sir and VSF Chairman Ravi Rajhans. The school management honoured VSF core members for their contributions, including Ravi Rajhans, Sonal Kirty, Kumar Sambhav, Vijay Shankar Gupta, John Britto, Jitendra Ji, Arya Ji, Puja Ji, Gautam from Belenus Champion Hospital, and Neha from Aloka Vision. The event was a testament to VSF’s ongoing commitment to community development and positive change.
