Agency(New Delhi): President Droupadi Murmu highlighted the significance of empowering scientific research and enhancing proficiency in Homoeopathy at the World Homoeopathy Day 2024 celebrations held at Yashobhoomi Conventional Centre, Dwarka, New Delhi. The President stressed that such efforts are crucial for bolstering the credibility and acceptance of Homoeopathy as a reliable medical system.

In her speech, President Murmu pointed out that many have turned to Homoeopathy after finding limited relief from other treatment methods. However, she noted that for these anecdotal successes to gain broader acceptance, they must be supported by rigorous scientific validation. “Encouraging scientific rigor will increase confidence in this method of treatment among people,” she said.

The event, themed “Empowering Research, Enhancing Proficiency,” was organized by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), an autonomous research body under the Ministry of AYUSH. It featured the release of 17 CCRH publications and a new mobile application, STGH app, which includes standard treatment guidelines in Homoeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, and Siddha.

The convention also included over 80 poster presentations and exhibits from 30 pharmaceutical and other firms. Secretary of the Ministry of AYUSH, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, discussed the potential for integrating Homoeopathy with other medical systems to provide a comprehensive healthcare approach. He affirmed the government’s commitment to promoting Homoeopathy through significant research initiatives and the integration of Homoeopathic practices into primary healthcare systems.

Dr. Subhash Kaushik, DG, CCRH, emphasized the importance of evidence-based research in Homoeopathy, highlighting the participation of renowned scientists and doctors in the symposium. The event also celebrated contributions from international delegates and featured discussions on modern perspectives and challenges in Homoeopathy.

This two-day scientific convention aimed to enhance the Homoeopathic community’s capability in research-based therapeutics and establish Homoeopathy as a vital part of personalized and credible healthcare solutions, reflecting the growing need for quality diagnostics and scientific tools in Homoeopathic medicine.
