The Aryavarth Express New Delhi [India], April 6 : Kyle Jamieson has lauded the Delhi Capitals’ pace attack, highlighting the leadership of Mukesh Kumar and the impactful performances of Lungi Ngidi in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 season.
Speaking after Delhi Capitals’ six-wicket win over Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Kyle Jamieson said the bowling unit has played a crucial role in the team’s strong start, particularly with their aggressive approach in the powerplay.
He praised Mukesh Kumar for leading the attack effectively and described Ngidi as “excellent,” noting that the early intent shown by the bowlers has helped set the tone for the rest of the innings.
Kyle Jamieson also spoke about bowling strategies on Indian pitches, explaining that hard and back-of-length deliveries can be effective, especially on surfaces offering variation. However, he added that on flatter wickets, such lengths can be easier to score off, making it essential for bowlers to quickly adapt to conditions and adjust their approach accordingly.
Delhi Capitals’ seamers have been key to their unbeaten run so far, with T. Natarajan and Ngidi leading the wicket charts with four wickets each. Mukesh Kumar has also impressed in the powerplay, claiming two wickets in as many matches while maintaining a solid economy rate.
