The Aryavarth Express Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 20: Amazon Prime Video has unveiled its upcoming fantasy comedy Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand, starring Kartik Aaryan, as part of its 2026 content slate at the “It Starts Here” event in Mumbai on March 19. The announcement positions the film as one of the streamer’s major theatrical-backed projects.
A newly released poster offers the first glimpse of the film’s scale and tone, showing Kartik Aaryan alongside a giant serpent. Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, known for the Fukrey franchise, the movie revolves around an Ichhadhari naag, portrayed by Aaryan, who plays the character Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand.

Produced by Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films, the film is slated for a theatrical release on August 14, targeting the Independence Day weekend, followed by an exclusive digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video.
The streamer also confirmed other highlights of its 2026 slate, including post-theatrical streaming of Vvan: Force of the Forest, projects like Don’t Be Shy backed by Alia Bhatt, and Mess from HRX Films. Returning fan-favourite series include new seasons of Panchayat and Call Me Bae. The event also teased franchise expansion with Mirzapur The Film, featuring the original cast.
