Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday offered prayers at the renowned Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, seeking the blessings of Lord Shiva.

Both leaders entered the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, where they performed Jalabhishek and worshipped Lord Mahakal. Speaking to reporters after the visit, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the occasion was spiritually significant and reflected the country’s progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

“Union Health Minister JP Nadda visited today, and we all sought the blessings of Baba Mahakal. By the grace of Lord Shiva and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is gaining global recognition in a distinctive manner,” the Chief Minister said.

CM Yadav also informed that the Union Health Minister would lay the foundation stone for two new medical colleges in the state later in the day. “The foundation stones of medical colleges in Dhar and Betul will be laid today. With these additions, the total number of medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh will increase to 35,” he added.

The two new medical colleges are being developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. According to the schedule, Minister Nadda was to begin by laying the foundation stone and inaugurating development projects in Dhar, followed by similar programmes in Betul later in the afternoon.
