The Aryavarth Express:
Tel Aviv (Israel) March 23 : Israel’s military carried out a new wave of large-scale airstrikes on targets in Iran on Monday, further intensifying the ongoing conflict in the region.
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said the operation targeted key infrastructure linked to Iran’s military and security network in Tehran. Reported targets included a military training base, weapons production and storage facilities associated with the Defence Ministry, sites linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Air Force, and headquarters of Iran’s intelligence and internal security forces.
The strikes follow Iran’s latest ballistic missile attack on central Israel. Although no serious injuries were reported, cluster munitions caused damage to homes and infrastructure. A day earlier, around 15 people were injured in similar attacks, with impacts reported in Jaffa and Petah Tikva, where residential areas were hit and fires broke out.
The conflict is increasingly affecting neighboring countries. Saudi Arabia said it intercepted one of two ballistic missiles launched toward Riyadh, while the second landed in an uninhabited area. A drone was also intercepted in the country’s eastern region.
In the United Arab Emirates, air defence systems successfully intercepted a missile targeting Abu Dhabi. Authorities reported that an Indian national sustained minor injuries from falling debris in the Al Shawamekh area.
Meanwhile, the United States confirmed it had earlier struck Iran’s Qom Turbine Engine Production Plant, a facility linked to drone and aircraft engine production. Images released by US Central Command showed significant destruction at the site.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel, along with the United States, would continue to act against Iran, describing Tehran as a growing threat beyond the region.
