Agency(Dausa, Rajasthan): Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Congress’s in-charge for Rajasthan, emphasized the inclusivity of Lord Ram by pointing out his numerous mentions in the Sikh holy book, Guru Granth Sahib. Speaking to ANI, Randhawa noted that Lord Ram’s name appears 5,000 times in the scripture, compared to just 16 mentions of Waheguru, highlighting the universal nature of Ram’s legacy.

Randhawa’s remarks came during a Congress Lok Sabha dialogue program held at the Ram temple in Dausa, Rajasthan. He emphasized the historical significance of Ram’s name in Sikhism, tracing it back to Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. According to Randhawa, Guru Nanak Dev Ji first mentioned Lord Ram’s name, illustrating the deep-rooted respect for Ram in Sikh traditions.

The event saw the participation of prominent Congress leaders, including state president Govind Singh Dotasara, opposition leader Tikaram Julie, and current and former MLAs of the Dausa Lok Sabha constituency. The leaders paid their respects at the Ram temple and received blessings from Mahant Amardasji Maharaj.

Randhawa’s statements reflect an effort to bridge religious divides and promote a message of unity and shared heritage. By highlighting the presence of Lord Ram in the Guru Granth Sahib, Randhawa underscores the idea that Ram is not confined to a single religion but is a figure of reverence across different faiths, embodying a spirit of inclusivity and belonging for all of India and the world.
