Jaipur Crafts Unique Cutlery for G20 Summit, Showcasing India’s Artisanal Excellence

15,000 pieces of specially designed cutlery are made in Jaipur for the G20 summit, highlighting India's craftsmanship and traditional manufacturing techniques.

New Delhi (Agency): For the G20 summit, a massive collection of 15,000 pieces of cutlery and other serving items was designed, developed, and produced in Jaipur, India. This effort required the hard work of nearly 300 craftsmen who used a mix of traditional Indian craftsmanship and modern computerized (CNC) techniques.

Arun Pabuwal, the founder CEO of Arun’s Group of Companies, guided this ambitious project. His daughter Antara Pabuwal also played a crucial role. The company is well-known for its high-quality metalware and has earned international acclaim.

Planning for the G20 cutlery started six months ago. Arun’s Group coordinated with ITC Hotel Maurya in New Delhi, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), and other government bodies to finalize the designs. Numerous samples were made, and various metal options were considered, including the use of Kansa, a traditional Indian alloy. After rigorous deliberations, the final G20 silverware collection came to life.

“Such was the passion for perfection by all concerned that we were left with no more than three weeks to deliver almost 15,000 pieces of cutlery,” said an official from the company.

Arun’s Group of Companies is not new to such prestigious tasks. In the past, they have designed exclusive serving items for U.S. Presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama during their visits to India. Arun Industries, part of Arun’s Group, is also known for creating products that grace elite venues worldwide, from specialty restaurants to the royal train ‘Palace on Wheels.’

Besides this, they have worked with renowned designers like Georgio Armani and produced collections for royal families globally. Established in 1960, the group has also designed numerous trophies for world-class events, adding to its rich legacy.
