Agency (Lucknow): The groundbreaking ceremony (GBC) in Lucknow, scheduled for February 19, promises to be a cultural extravaganza for its guests, highlighting the story of Ayodhya and the rich culture and heritage of Uttar Pradesh. The state tourism department has organized a series of events for the ceremony, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to perform the ‘bhoomi pujan’ at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan (IGP).

Mukesh Meshram, Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture, elaborated on the plans to provide guests with an immersive experience that symbolizes the start of a transformative project. The cultural program will narrate the story of Ayodhya, emphasizing its historical and cultural significance in the context of Indian heritage. It will depict Ayodhya’s journey from its ancient mythological roots to its contemporary relevance.

A key highlight of the event will be a captivating Kathak performance, adding elegance and tradition to the ceremony. This inclusion is aimed at offering a glimpse into the classical arts that have flourished in Uttar Pradesh.

Meshram expressed enthusiasm about showcasing the cultural richness of the state. He mentioned that artists from all over Uttar Pradesh will come together to present unique programs at crucial intersections in the city. Moreover, streets and crossings in the state capital will come alive with performances by talented artists from various parts of the state. These performances are significant as they create an immersive cultural experience for the guests, transforming the entire city into a stage for artistic expression.
