Vaishnaw Launches Annual Capacity Building Plan

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw introduces a comprehensive capacity building plan for the Ministries of Railways, Communications, and Electronics & IT.

Agency(New Delhi): Union Minister for Railways, Communications, and Electronics & IT, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, has launched the Annual Capacity Building Plan for his ministries. This plan is designed to ensure the holistic development of manpower, aligning with National Priorities, Emerging Technologies, and Citizen Centricity. The initiative also aims at the development of organizations, institutions, and individuals.

The event, held at Rail Bhawan, saw the participation of over 1000 employees from Railways, Post, CSCs, and BSNL. It was graced by prominent officials including the Chairperson of the Railway Board and Secretaries of MEITY, Department of Post, and Department of Telecommunication. The Chairperson of the Capacity Building Commission was also present.

During the event, employees shared their experiences of the iGoT Karmayogi training, highlighting its impact on capability development, mindset improvement, and enhanced performance in delivering government services.

Shri Vaishnaw emphasized the importance of a solution-oriented mindset, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s philosophy that “Mind is never a problem, Mindset is”. He underlined the significance of this approach in service industries where continuous interaction with customers has a profound impact.

The Union Minister also stated that considerable investments are being made in these departments, with long-term plans that will lay the foundation for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ or a developed nation. He encouraged maintaining high spirits and striving for higher objectives, with the goal of achieving a developed India by 2047.

The Annual Capacity Building Plan for Railways, crafted in partnership with the Railway Board, focuses on individual and organizational development. Other department heads also shared their commitments to dynamic, continuous training, aiming to prepare employees not just for their current roles but also for future aspirations. This approach is expected to be vibrant, role-based, and technology-enabled, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency in service delivery.
