New Delhi (Agency): Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a grand move in boosting employment by handing out more than 51,000 appointment letters to new recruits. Through a virtual event called Rozgar Mela, he welcomed these individuals into various roles within the Central Armed Police Forces and Delhi Police.

“You are ‘Amrit Rakshak’ of this ‘Amrit Kaal’,” Modi said, using the term ‘Amrit Rakshak’ to honor the recruits. He believes they will serve and protect the nation, making them “guardians of this golden era.”

The Rozgar Mela came at a significant time. Modi highlighted India’s advancements in space exploration, with the Chandrayaan 3 mission sending back stunning images of the Moon. He conveyed that the new recruits are beginning an important journey at a time when the nation is filled with pride and confidence.

One focus was the government’s commitment to improving recruitment processes. Examinations are now offered in 13 local languages, and there’s a special quota for youth from border and extremism-affected areas. The Prime Minister also pointed out the recruitment of tribal youth in Naxal-affected regions, showing a broader and more inclusive approach to employment.

“A secure environment by the rule of law expedites the pace of development,” Modi said. He used the state of Uttar Pradesh as an example, indicating that crime has decreased and investments have risen since the introduction of rule of law.

Modi also spoke about India’s rapidly growing economy. He believes that by this decade’s end, India will be among the world’s top three economies. This growth will lead to more jobs, particularly in sectors like the pharmaceutical industry, which he expects to be worth approximately 10 lakh crore rupees by 2030.

Discussing the automotive industry, worth more than 12 lakh crores, Modi emphasized that it’s bound to grow, creating further employment opportunities. He also mentioned the food processing industry, estimating its worth to be around 35 lakh crores in the next three and a half years. “With expansion comes increased employment opportunities,” he added.

In terms of infrastructure development, Modi said that the central government has spent over 30 lakh crore in the last nine years. This has helped in improving connectivity and boosting the tourism sector, expected to create about 13-14 crore jobs by 2030.

Reflecting on the last nine years, Modi declared, “A new era of transformation can be witnessed owing to the efforts of the government.” He credited schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana for economic empowerment and employment generation, especially among tribal, women, Dalits, and other deprived segments.

“All of you youth are my biggest strength in the mission of bringing change in Government and Governance,” Modi concluded. He encouraged the new recruits to keep learning and focus on their physical fitness, pointing them toward resources like the IGOT Karmayogi portal, which offers over 600 courses for government employees.
