He stressed that India’s progress towards becoming a developed nation hinges on embracing skilling, re-skilling, and up-skilling. This approach will not only cater to domestic demand but also meet global workforce requirements.

Digital initiatives in the skilling ecosystem, offering skills anytime and anywhere, were also highlighted by the Minister. He underscored the importance of social participation in reinforcing the skills ecosystem and noted that emerging technologies offer benefits for all involved.

The event also featured interactive discussions between industry representatives, the Minister, and the Secretary, MSDE. This collaborative effort is aligned with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047, aiming to prepare the ‘Amrit Peedhi’ for the Future of Work. The partnerships are expected to make the skilling ecosystem more accessible, innovative, and flexible, thereby heralding a new phase in education and industry-academia linkages.

These collaborations focus on various sectors including IT, CSR, and technology, ensuring that Indian youth are well-equipped for industry demands. Previous partnerships by NSDC with organizations like IBM, Bajaj Finserv, and Meta have already laid a foundation for enhancing youth capabilities.

The initiative promises practical knowledge, creative skills, and valuable experiences for students through on-the-job training and industry exposure.
