Air Marshal Vibhas Pande Lauds Def-Tech Expo 2024 at Tughlakabad Air Force Station

Visit emphasizes indigenization and innovation in defense technology.

Agency(New Delhi): Air Marshal Vibhas Pande, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Maintenance Command, made a noteworthy visit to the Air Force Station Tughlakabad on 5th March 2024, accompanied by Mrs. Ruchira Pande, President of the Air Force Family Welfare Association (Regional). They were warmly welcomed by Air Commodore Rishi Seth, Air Officer Commanding at the station, and Mrs. Anjali Anand Seth.

During his visit, the Air Marshal expressed his admiration for the Def-Tech Expo 2024, which showcased modern niche technology and indigenized projects of the Depot. The expo aimed to highlight the achievements in indigenization by the Depot and the participation of private partners in various projects. This event aligns with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, focusing on capacity building through innovation.

Air Marshal Pande also took the opportunity to visit the Depot Historical Cell, which documents the long and illustrious history of the station, marking significant milestones in its journey.

In discussions with station personnel, the Air Marshal underscored the importance of reducing dependency on imports and strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities to achieve self-reliance. He encouraged the air warriors of the Depot to engage in innovation and develop indigenous solutions to enhance the Operational Capability of the Indian Air Force. He commended the involvement, enthusiasm, and focused approach of all personnel towards supporting operational units, highlighting their contribution to the nation’s defense readiness and technological advancement.
