The Aryavarth Express Hyderabad (Telangana): Hyderabad Police on Thursday carried out a large-scale cordon and search operation within the limits of Reinbazar Police Station as part of efforts to curb illegal activities and enhance public safety.
The operation was led by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police and the Assistant Commissioner of Police, along with Reinbazar SHO Ch. Nethaji, and supported by armed police personnel.
According to a statement issued by Kiran Khare Prabhakar, DCP of the Charminar Zone, several seizures and verifications were made during the drive. A total of 37 two-wheelers were seized for operating without number plates or with improper or tampered registration plates.
Police also identified and picked up six rowdy sheeters — Syed Ali, Habeeb Sikander, Talib Khan, Jaffar Ali, Ali Hussain and Syeeduddin — to verify their current activities.
Additionally, nine individuals listed as suspect sheet persons — Khaled, Sameer, Aziz Baba, Hyder Ahmed, Ibrahim, Ibrahim Khan, Syed Ali, Shaik Mohammed and Azhar — were identified and their details were thoroughly checked.
During the search, officers seized three dangerous knives, one hookah set, five packets of illegal cannabis (ganja), and three small gas cylinders that were allegedly being used or stored unlawfully.
The DCP stated that similar operations will continue in the Charminar Zone to maintain law and order and to ensure a sense of security among residents.
