This significant Hindu festival, which marks the birth of Lord Hanuman, is celebrated with great fervor and is known for its vibrant processions and cultural performances.

The celebrations extend beyond Ayodhya, with numerous devotees also flocking to the Hanuman Temple in Delhi’s Connaught Place. Hanuman Jayanti, observed on the full moon day of the Hindu lunar month of Chaitra, typically falls in March or April and is a time for devotees to reflect on virtues of courage and loyalty, epitomized by Hanuman, a devoted follower of Lord Ram.

In light of the large gatherings, the Delhi Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory to facilitate smooth transit and maintain order during the festivities. Specific routes and diversions were outlined for commuters in the vicinity of major celebration sites in Delhi, and additional guidance was provided to encourage the use of public transportation and proper parking to avoid congestion.

These measures ensure that the devotees could participate in the festivities while minimizing disruption to the regular flow of city life. The shared spiritual zeal across these locations highlights the cultural significance of Hanuman Jayanti in fostering communal harmony and devotion among followers.
