Ayodhya Celebrates with Deepotsav Glory

Ayodhya's Deepotsav follows Shri Ram Lalla's 'Pran Pratishtha' with a grand, unforgettable celebration.

Uttar Pradesh (Aryavarth): Ayodhya, the revered city in Uttar Pradesh, India, recently experienced an extraordinary Deepotsav, which followed the significant ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ritual of Shri Ram Lalla in the majestic temple. This event, held on Monday, was a breathtaking display of beauty, leaving an indelible impression on everyone who witnessed it.

Inhabitants of Ramnagari Ayodhya, joined by devotees from across India, participated in lighting the Ram Jyoti. The sound of “Ram-Ram” echoed in homes, creating a spirit of religious festivity. This year’s Deepotsav, held near the Hanumangarhi temple, stood out for its unique excitement and joy, symbolizing the conclusion of a historical 500-year journey.

The festival brought an unprecedented level of excitement to Ayodhya. An air of happiness and warmth was evident as numerous lamps lit up the Saryu banks, Ram Ki Paidi, various Maths, temples, and public spaces. The city was beautifully decorated for this significant festival, with lights adorning temples, streets, and both government and religious buildings. Residents celebrated by lighting lamps in their homes, honoring their revered deity, Ram.

The Saryu Aarti, a special ritual, was conducted with great enthusiasm, attended by many dignitaries, sages, and saints at the ghats. Since Yogi Adityanath became Chief Minister in 2017, Ayodhya’s Deepotsav has been envisioned as a grand event, growing more magnificent each year. The 2023 Deepotsav during the government’s second term set a record with 22.23 lakh lamps lighting up the city.

In 2024, just three months after celebrating Diwali, Ayodhya marked another celebration post the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram, aligning with the government’s vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.’ This event saw people from diverse backgrounds come together to light the lamp of faith with the Ram Jyoti, under the guidance of the double-engine government.

Ayodhya seemed to radiate a celestial charm, reminiscent of the Tretayug. The ritual of lighting lamps, coupled with the desire for prosperity, was evident as Rangoli decorated various intersections. Visitors also joined in, lighting lamps in reverence.

Following the consecration on January 22, Ayodhya hosted a mesmerizing projection show at Ram Ki Paedi until 7 p.m., succeeded by a stunning laser show and an eco-friendly fireworks display, contributing to the grandeur of this historic event.
