Charkhi Dadri (Haryana): A tragic road accident occurred in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri district on Sunday amid dense fog, claiming the life of a Class 11 student and leaving several others injured. A private school bus on an educational tour collided head-on with a Haryana Roadways bus due to poor visibility.
According to the police, students of a private Aryan School in Charkhi Dadri were travelling to Pratapgarh when the accident took place. The collision resulted in the death of Ishika, a Class 11 student and resident of Gandhinagar, Charkhi Dadri, who died on the spot.
The school bus driver and three others sustained critical injuries. One student and the driver were referred to PGI Rohtak for advanced treatment, while other injured students were admitted to a nearby hospital. The students travelling on the bus were from Classes 9 to 11.
Following the accident, chaos and panic prevailed at the scene and hospitals as parents rushed to get information about their children. Police officials, including DSP Dheeraj Kumar, reached the spot and hospitals promptly to assess the situation.
DSP Vikas Kumar stated that the incident is under investigation and assured that strict action will be taken against those found responsible.
“We reached the spot immediately after receiving information about the collision. The injured were shifted to the hospital, but unfortunately, one student lost her life,” the DSP said.
