Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Debi Prasad Mishra on Tuesday welcomed the trade deal between India and the United States, calling it a “good gesture” that reflects improving relations between the two countries.
Reacting to the development, Mishra said the agreement would help strengthen economic cooperation and further enhance bilateral ties. He noted that such trade initiatives are important for boosting mutual trust and expanding opportunities for trade and investment.
The BJD leader emphasised that closer engagement between India and the US could benefit various sectors and contribute positively to economic growth. He added that trade agreements play a key role in fostering long-term partnerships and encouraging collaboration in areas of shared interest.
Mishra also expressed hope that the deal would pave the way for greater cooperation in fields such as technology, industry, and employment generation, benefiting both nations.
The trade agreement has drawn reactions from leaders across political parties, with many viewing it as a step forward in deepening India–US relations.
