Deoghar (Jharkhand): Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, on Sunday offered prayers at the revered Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, Jharkhand.
After performing ‘darshan’ at the temple, Adani said it had long been his wish to visit the shrine. “It was my long-held desire to offer prayers at Baba Baidyanath Dham. I feel very blessed to have done so. I prayed for the well-being of the people of Jharkhand and the entire nation,” he said.
Earlier this week, Adani made headlines with a major announcement signalling a significant push into India’s artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure sector. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he outlined the group’s ambitious vision, highlighting renewable energy, grid resilience, and hyperscale AI infrastructure as key pillars of India’s technological future.
The Adani Group announced plans to invest USD 100 billion by 2035 to develop renewable-energy-powered, hyperscale AI-ready data centres. The initiative is being described as one of the world’s largest integrated energy and computing commitments.
According to an official statement, the investment aims to establish a long-term sovereign energy and computing platform, positioning India as a global leader in the emerging AI-driven economy. The project will focus on building large-scale data centre infrastructure powered by renewable energy to support artificial intelligence workloads and strengthen national digital infrastructure.
The company further stated that the USD 100 billion direct investment is expected to catalyse an additional USD 150 billion across related sectors, including server manufacturing, advanced electrical infrastructure, sovereign cloud platforms, and other supporting industries.
Together, these developments are projected to create a USD 250 billion AI infrastructure ecosystem in India over the next decade.
