Faridabad/Gurugram: The Faridabad Crime Branch has arrested a key suspect involved in the recent firing outside the residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav. The accused, identified as Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, was apprehended following an encounter with police in which he sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.
Authorities reported that Ishant opened fire on the police with an automatic pistol, discharging more than six rounds before being subdued and taken to the hospital.
The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, August 17, when unidentified assailants fired over 15 rounds at Yadav’s house in Gurugram’s Sector 57. Elvish Yadav was not present at the time.
Yadav’s father, Ram Avtar Yadav, recounted the harrowing experience, stating, “We heard gunshots around 5:30 AM. Upon checking the CCTV footage, we saw at least two, possibly three individuals involved. We immediately informed the police.”
He added that the family is shaken by the incident. “Elvish rarely stays here due to work commitments. He is fine. We’re just thankful no one was hurt. May God give wisdom to those responsible.”
Gurugram Police PRO Sandeep Kumar confirmed that three masked men were involved in the attack and said that over a dozen rounds were fired during the incident.
The investigation is ongoing as law enforcement continues efforts to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in the attack.
