Hyderabad – The makers of the blockbuster film Devara have officially announced its sequel, Devara 2, as the Jr NTR-starrer completes one year since its theatrical release.
Taking to social media, production house Yuvasudha Arts shared the news with fans, marking the film’s anniversary with a special message:
“It’s been one year since HAVOC struck the shores, trembling every coast… and the name the world remembers is DEVARA. Be it the FEAR it unleashed or the LOVE it earned, the streets will never forget. Now gear up for Devara 2.”
Jr NTR will return in the lead role, and director Koratala Siva is set to helm the sequel as well. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander, who scored the original film, will also be back for the second installment. Details regarding the rest of the cast remain under wraps.
Released on September 27, 2024, Devara featured a powerful ensemble including Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Prakash Raj, Srikanth Meka, Tom Chacko, and Narain. The film was praised for its gripping storyline, stunning visuals, and Jr NTR’s intense dual portrayal of Devara and Varadha.
Set against a volatile coastal backdrop, the film delved into themes of power, loyalty, and justice. Produced by Kosaraju Hari Krishna and Sudhakar Mikkilineni under NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, and presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Devara was released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
The first part ended on a major cliffhanger, fueling anticipation for a follow-up. With the sequel now officially confirmed, fans can expect another high-stakes chapter in this epic saga.
