New Delhi: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Tuesday issued an advisory cautioning passengers about possible flight delays at several airports in Northern India due to dense fog and reduced visibility.

In a post on X, AAI urged travellers to stay updated through official airline communication channels and to plan their journeys with extra time for airport arrival and check-in. According to the authority, low visibility on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, may affect flight operations, leading to delays at select airports across the region.

AAI also announced that passenger assistance teams have been deployed at affected airports to help travellers during the disruption. “AAI has activated passenger facilitation measures and deployed assistance teams to ensure safety, convenience, and smooth operations during adverse weather conditions,” the statement said.

To support passengers, AAI shared customer support numbers of major airlines, including IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet, Air India Express, Akasa Air, Alliance Air, IndiaOne Air, Star Air, and Fly91.

The advisory follows significant disruptions at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Monday, where dense fog caused multiple flight delays and cancellations. Airlines such as IndiGo and Air India issued their own advisories in response.

IndiGo, in a statement, said foggy conditions over Delhi and Hindon airports have led to fluctuating visibility and changes in flight schedules. The airline added that operations may remain slower than usual, with ground teams prioritising safety and regulatory compliance. Passengers were advised to regularly check flight status online and use rebooking or refund options if their flights are impacted.

Airlines noted that flight operations are expected to gradually stabilise once weather conditions improve.
