Salim Khan Dismisses Firing Incident as Publicity Stunt

Salim Khan, father of Salman Khan, comments on the recent firing outside their Mumbai residence, dismissing it as a publicity-seeking act despite ongoing threats.

The Aryavarth Express
Agency(Mumbai): Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, has responded to the recent gunfire incident outside their Mumbai home, Galaxy Apartments, suggesting that the act was merely a bid for publicity. “There is nothing to tell. They just want publicity, there is no need to worry,” Salim told CNN News 18 following the event on Sunday in Bandra.

Details regarding Salman Khan’s presence in the house at the time of the shooting remain unconfirmed. The incident has been linked to Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother of the incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who claimed responsibility for what he described as a “first and last warning”. He ominously added that future attacks might not be aimed at inanimate targets.

The Mumbai police have identified one suspect involved, known as Vishal alias Kalu, reportedly affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, through CCTV footage. The investigation has since been escalated to the Mumbai Crime Branch, with fifteen teams deployed to probe the calculated attack that involved masked assailants firing four rounds and leaving behind a live cartridge.

This firing follows a series of threats directed at Salman Khan, including an email threat last year linked to Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, prompting an FIR for criminal conspiracy and intimidation. This history of threats adds a complex layer to the current security situation surrounding the Khan family.
