Agency(Banglore): BJP MP PC Mohan, representing Bangalore Central, has expressed optimism about securing a fourth term in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He showcased his confidence during a recent roadshow and door-to-door campaign aimed at rallying support within the constituency.

Mohan praised the economic growth achieved under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, attributing robust national progress to the BJP’s policies since taking power. He underscored the decline in Congress’s credibility both in Bangalore and nationwide, contrasting it with the BJP’s contributions to local development. These initiatives include improvements in metro services, housing for the underprivileged, healthcare expansions under Ayushman Bharat, and infrastructure developments like railways, highways, and urban transit systems.

Having advocated for Bengaluru’s development over the last 15 years, Mohan highlighted his efforts in enhancing the city’s infrastructure through projects such as the Metro Rail, Suburban Rail, and the addition of electric buses, skywalks, and flyovers designed to reduce congestion and modernize the city.

Mohan emphasized his direct involvement with the community, noting his approachability and responsiveness to constituents’ needs, which he believes has strengthened his connection with people from various political and social backgrounds.

Looking forward, if re-elected, Mohan plans to continue aligning with PM Modi’s vision by ensuring that government programs and initiatives effectively reach his constituents, aiming to foster a brighter future for Central Bangalore. He also discussed his commitment to improving governance at the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) level and urban planning, which he said would enhance living standards and community empowerment.

The BJP leader also outlined his plans to expand Bengaluru’s mass transit system, particularly through the forthcoming operationalization of the Bengaluru Suburban Rail project, which he expects will significantly improve daily commutes and overall transportation infrastructure in and around the city.

With the elections set for the second phase on April 26, where Karnataka will cast its votes, Mohan faces competition from Congress candidate Mansoor Ali Khan. The BJP aims to repeat or improve upon its strong performance from the 2019 elections, where it secured 25 of the 28 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
