New Delhi: Several reports and official papers will be tabled in the Lok Sabha on Thursday as part of the ongoing Budget Session, according to the House’s list of business.
BJP MPs Manoj Tiwari and Chandra Prakash Joshi are scheduled to present the Fourth Report of the Committee on Petitions in both Hindi and English. The report pertains to a representation by Parameswaran Krishna Iyer regarding the imposition of penal charges for failure to maintain minimum balance in bank accounts.
Members Harendra Singh Malik and Rajkumar Chahar will present reports of the Committee on Government Assurances.
BJP MP Bhartruhari Mahtab and LJP (Ram Vilas) MP Arun Bharti will lay the Twenty-ninth Report on Action Taken by the government on the recommendations of the Standing Committee on Finance. The report relates to the subject “Roadmap for Indian Economic Growth in Light of Global Economic and Geopolitical Circumstances.”
D. Purandeswari and Bhartruhari Mahtab will move a motion seeking an extension of time for presenting the Joint Committee’s report on the Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan Bill, 2025. Similarly, BJP MPs Tejasvi Surya and Malvika Devi will move a motion to extend the deadline for submitting the Select Committee’s report on the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2025.
Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is expected to move that the Bill seeking amendments to the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, be taken up for consideration and passage in the House.
On Wednesday, both Houses of Parliament continued discussions on the Union Budget 2026–27.
During the proceedings, BJP MP Anurag Sharma and JKNC MP Mian Altaf Ahmad presented reports of the Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture in the Lok Sabha. Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi also made a statement on the status of implementation of recommendations contained in the 10th Report of the Standing Committee on Energy concerning the performance evaluation of solar power projects in the country.
