The Aryavarth Express:
New Delhi [India], April 6: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday extended greetings on the foundation day of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), reaffirming its guiding mantra, “Nation First, Party Next, Self Last.”

In a post on X, Shah underscored the party’s role in strengthening national security, safeguarding borders, driving development, and reviving India’s cultural and historical identity. He said the BJP has consistently translated its principles into action, with its workers devoted to serving the nation.

He also paid tribute to Sage Dadhichi, drawing parallels between his spirit of sacrifice and the dedication of those who have contributed to the BJP’s growth into a major political force.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the BJP as more than a political organisation, calling it a dynamic ideological movement rooted in democratic values. He credited leaders like Deendayal Upadhyaya, Syama Prasad Mookerjee, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee for shaping its philosophy.

Adityanath added that the party’s journey is guided by values and ideology rather than the pursuit of power, and continues to focus on empowering citizens and building a self-reliant, developed India.

The BJP traces its roots to the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, founded in 1951 by Syama Prasad Mookerjee. It rose to prominence under leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani, emerging as a dominant force in Indian politics since the 1990s.
